A Trip to the Zoo

Applause rang out in the classroom after Professor Olmsted announced that today Boot Camp would pay a visit to the National Zoo. After spending several hours this week cooped up in the classroom and lab, it was a welcome change to do some reporting in the field. Professor Olmsted told us to work in pairs and, using audio recording and photography, capture a compelling story at the zoo.

I can’t reveal any details about my project just yet, but here are some unrelated photos I took after Andy and I finished reporting:

A not so baby panda! He's two years old now.

A burrowing owl giving me the stink-eye.

Finally, I have all of my ducks in a row.

Stay tuned for the finished piece and with it, my best photos from the zoo!
